“Jesus Christ Is A Blessing To The Church” – Pastor Dzah
The Nsukwao District Minister of The Church of Pentecost in the Koforidua Effiduase Area, Pastor Daniel Yaw Dzah, has urged Christians to position themselves such that they will inherit the Abrahamic blessing God promised them before the creation of the world.
Pastor Dzah gave the admonition in a sermon to climax a five-day Christmas Convention of the Nsukwao District of the Church. The convention which took place from 19th to 23rd December, 2018 under the theme, “Jesus Christ Came To Build His Church” – Matthew 16:18.
Speaking on the topic, “Jesus Christ, a Blessing to the Church,” Pastor Dzah quoted Ephesians 1:2-14 and Galatians 3:14 and said God chose some people to be His own before creation and has blessed them with every spiritual blessing.
Pastor Dzah explained that the first man God created sinned and through him sin extended to the entire human race. However, he said, God in His magnanimity made provision for man after the fall and at the appointed time, He came into the world in the form a man to save humankind from the tyranny of sin.
He stated that it is one thing to be blessed and another thing to be a blessing. He said Jesus is blessing personified, as such when one recognizes this and give Jesus His rightful place in the Church, the Church will not only be blessed but will be a channel of blessing to others.
Pastor Dzah enumerated eight types of blessings Christians receive from Christ. This, he said, include fruitfulness, redemption, sonship, victory over the enemy, favour from God, have direct access to the Father, receive the Holy Spirit and are at peace with God.
“As children of God, you are heirs of the Father and joint heirs with Jesus and it is a great thing to be a child of God.
“You don’t need any ‘Florida Water’ to protect you from your enemies, because the Jesus you have is too much enough to protect you and grant you peace in this world,” he emphasized.”
Pastor Dzah further stated that by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit every believer is carrying God in them, therefore believers have nothing to fear in this life.
“As you connect to Jesus who is your source, the blessings will flow abundantly,” he ended.
