God Intends To Reveal Himself To The Nations Through The Church – Chairman

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has stated that the Church is very crucial to God’s plan to reveal Himself to the people of the nations as the one true God.

According to Apostle Nyamekye, the Church is the chosen community through which God desires to demonstrate His manifold wisdom to the world with the intention of drawing all humanity to Himself.

The Chairman said this on Monday, December 12, 2018, at the Mt. Olives Assembly church auditorium when he met all Elders in the Kasoa and Downtown Ofaakor Areas to explain the 5-year vision document of the Church dubbed: “Vision 2023”.

Elaborating on the overarching theme of Vision 2023, “Possessing the Nations,” Apostle Eric Nyamekye read Genesis 12:1-4, Exodus 19:5 and Deuteronomy 6:4 to emphasize that it has always been God’s intention to reveal Himself to all people that He is the only true God.

As a result, when God called Abraham, He outlined His desire not to only bless Abraham but also to make him a great nation (Israel) so that through this nation He would reach out to the nations of the world.

He, however, stated that Israel has failed to accomplish this purpose and for this reason, the Church, which he explained to be the community of both believing Jews (Israelites) and believing Gentiles, has been chosen by God to serve this divine purpose. (Ephesians 3:10)

He, therefore, stated the urgent need for the Church to focus on her original purpose of making Christ known to the world. In light of this, he said, The Church of Pentecost, through her 5-year vision document dubbed “Vision 2023”, aims at equipping her members to possess their nations by transforming every worldview, thought and behaviour with values, principles and lifestyles of the Kingdom of God; thereby turning many people to Christ.

As part of the event, the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, took the officers through some of the new policy guidelines of the Church that would enable the Church to fulfill her vision.

Notable amongst them is the review of ministry meeting days and Home Cell meeting days, aimed at curbing overcrowded programmes in the church.

Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions for better understanding of the Church’s vision.

Present at the event were Apostles Ekow Badu Wood (Kasoa Area Head) Samuel Otu-Appiah (Downtown Ofaakor Area Head),Samuel Nana Yaw Agyei (Center Manager, PCC) and Samuel Ofori (Lecturer, PTS) as well as the ministers and wives in the two Areas.
