George Weah Expected In Ghana Today

Liberia President, George Weah is expected in Ghana for a two day state visit, today, Friday, April 6, 2018.

The Liberian leader along with delegation has already visited neighbouring West African country, Abidjan.

While in Accra, President Weah will meet President Nana Ado-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to discuss strengthening of bilateral relationships that exist between the two countries.

President Weah is also expected to use his visits to explore avenues for investments in an effort to enhance trade between Liberia and Ghana.

The two leaders will also discuss issues concerning the promotion of peace within the ECOWAS region as well as cross-border security issues affecting Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana.

He will be accompanied by his Finance Minister, Samuel D. Tweah, Internal Affairs Minister, Varney Sirleaf, Information Minister, Eugene Nagbe, Transport Minister, among others.
