Adubrim District Inaugurated
A mammoth service was held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, to inaugurate the newly created Adubrim District in the Axim Area of The Church of Pentecost.
The Adubrim District was carved out of the Asasetre and Nyamelekwagyina districts in the Axim Area.
The inauguration service, which was officiated by the Area Head, Apostle Philip Osei-Korsah, coincided with the welcome service of the District Minister, Probationary Overseer Bismark Amoah and his family.
Speaking at the service on the theme, “The Divine Call For A Divine Assignment,” based on Isaiah 6:1-8, Apostle Osei-Korsah said, “There is a divine call we need to respond to in order to equip us for a divine assignment.”
Apostle Korsah explained that when the call of the Lord came to Isaiah, he began to proclaim his weaknesses, however, the Lord touched him and he was made whole and ready for the assignment.
“When we receive the call of the Lord, we must not worry about our abilities or inabilities but look up to the Lord and He will strengthen and equip us for the task ahead,” he advised.
He, therefore, entreated the congregants to acknowledge their human flaws. He, however, advised them to always endeavour to speak positively of themselves because the Lord who called them is able to prepare and equip them for whatever mission He has purposed for their lives.
The service also saw the ordination of new officers and the dedication of both the Adubrim Central church auditorium and the Mission House.
The projects were funded by grants from the Headquarters, Urban Accelerated Church Building (UACB), Area Development Fund (ADF) and contributions from some members.
The District Minister of the Asasetre District, Overseer Samuel Addo-Annor and wife, Andra Blessed Annor-Addo also donated a brand new motorcycle to the Adubrim District to aid the work of the District Minister.
Present at the ceremony were Mrs Hannah Osei-Korsah (wife of the Area Head), and the Area pastorate and their wives.
