A Son After 6 Years Of Marriage

It was all joy at the James McKeown Temple in the Tema Area of The Church of Pentecost when the Goi District Minister, Pastor Martin Berko Kesse, and his wife, Mrs. Esther Berko Kesse, stood before the congregation to thank God for blessing them with a son after 6 years of marriage.

The naming and dedication service of the baby, which took place on Thursday, August 30, 2018, was attended by all ministers and wives in the Area, including the Area Head, Apostle Matthew Wettey-Larbi, Media Ministry Pastor, Apostle Dan Nii Tackie, former International Missions Director, Apostle Dr. S. K. Baidoo (Retd.) and Mrs. Georgina Amaniampong (Wife of the Asokwa Area Head).

Delivering a sermon at the event, the Community 4 District Minister, Pastor Joseph K. Danzerl, charged parents to ensure that their actions and inactions do not hinder their children’s salvation.

Using Mark 10:13-15 as his key scripture, he explained that the disciples failed to see anything good in the children and tried to prevent them from reaching out to Jesus. He, therefore, advised parents and church leaders to regard children as souls who also need to be saved.

In their response, the couple said that they made a passionate plea to God to bless them with a baby before the immediate-past Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, went on retirement.

Through continuous prayer by the District Women’s Ministry, the entire church, Mrs. Georgina Amaniampong and the District Prayer Team, the Lord finally intervened leading to Mrs. Berko Kesse’s conception last year and her safe delivery.

Pastor and Mrs. Esther Berko Kesse were full of praise and gratitude to the Almighty God for the gift given to them. Mrs. Esther Berko Kesse admonished couples who are in search of the fruit of the womb to keep trusting God regardless of how long it would take because He will surely show up at the appointed time.
