The Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has called on believers to pursue both the baptism and continuous infilling of the Holy Spirit to live empowered Christian lives.

Speaking at the Conférence des Ministres et Épouses (CME-Francophone) in Lomé, Togo today [February 20, 2026], he explained that while the baptism of the Holy Spirit initiates the believer into divine empowerment, the infilling of the Spirit is a continuous experience sustained through daily devotion, prayer, and total submission to God.

He described the anointing of the Holy Spirit as the enabling power for Christian service, adding that the measure of one’s anointing is determined by the level of surrender to the Spirit.

According to him, the baptism of the Holy Spirit can occur through genuine repentance, obedience, and a sincere yearning for God’s presence, noting that some believers also experience this during water baptism.

Apostle Bekoe emphasised that the continuous infilling of the Spirit enables believers to walk in holiness, demonstrate spiritual power, and bear the fruit of the Spirit.

He further explained that the guidance of the Holy Spirit often comes through inner conviction, spiritual prompting, and divine burden, leading believers to walk in godliness and faithful service.

He urged Christians to make the infilling of the Holy Spirit a daily priority, describing it as essential for spiritual survival and effective Christian living.
