Dabala District Launches ' Operation One Member, One Discipled Soul ' Campaign

Date: October 26, 2017

The Dabala District in the Aflao Area of The Church of Pentecost, on Sunday, October 22, 2017, launched the “One Member; One Discipled Soul” campaign at Dabala Central.

The event, which coincided with the visit of the Aflao Area Head, Apostle Osei-Wusu Brempong, was held to climax the District Week Celebration.

The “One Member, One Discipled Soul” campaign is an evangelism drive of The Church of Pentecost urging every Christian and member of the Church to win at least one soul and disciple him or her in the Lord by the end of the year.

As a core mandate of the Church, the campaign aims at winning as many as 1,000,000 souls for Christ. It is also the hope of leadership that through this initiative the passion of members, especially the youth, for evangelism would be rekindled in the coming years.

Speaking on the topic, “Come Back To Me” based on Psalm 80:8,7,9 and Malachi 3:7 -9, Apostle Brempong advised Christians to change their negative attitudes towards the things of God.

According to him, some contemporary Christians are drawing farther and farther away from Christ because they no longer enjoy the presence of God and rather chase after so-called “powerful men of God” for signs and wonders.

He explained that God is a warrior and has power over all His creation, as a result, the people of Israel always enjoyed His great security and victory over their enemies as long as they remained in His presence.

“However, they lost God's presence and favour because of disobedience and sin. But when the Israelites became conscious that they had gone astray, they pleaded for God’s restoration and favour, and He welcomed them back with open arms,” he explained.

Apostle Brempong warned that if Christians do not eschew sin and disobedience they would also lose the favour of God. He said most Christians are not experiencing the favour of God in their lives because they do not abide in His presence, saying that "God has not changed but your attitudes have changed."

“We must be on fire for God, more zealous about the things of God and avail ourselves for His service. In so doing, God will cause His face to shine upon our businesses, marriages, and our personal lives,” he stated.

He again urged them to go back to the ancient path and the glory of God will be restored back in their lives.

Apostle Osei-Wusu- Brempong also charged all members to reach out to all backsliders and unbelievers, disciple them in Christ and encourage them to also take part in the campaign.
