Date: August 11, 2017

The Agormanya Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Jacob Narh Affum, has dedicated newly constructed Sekesua Central Church building at the total cost of GH¢ 229,500.

The well-attended ceremony, which took place on Friday, 4th August, 2017, was attended by the Pastorate in the Area, including the District Minister, Pastor Daniel Mensah. Also present was the District Chief Executive Officer (DCE) for Upper Manya Krobo, Honourable Felix Doe Tetteh.

Christened “Miracle Temple,” the land measuring 200 feet square was acquired in 2010 during the time of Pastor Fredrick Sarfo.

The building plan was redesigned upon the arrival of Pastor Daniel Mensah in 2013, after which the sod cutting was done by Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah.

The foundation stone was laid on 1st July, 2016 by Apostle Jacob Narh Affum and assisted by Pastor Daniel Mensah.

The District Minister, Pastor Daniel Mensah and his wife were commended by the Area Head for making a personal donation of GH¢21,000 to support the construction of building. Others who also made special contributions to support the project included Elder Abraham Djabanor (GH¢3,500) and Elder Samuel Amo Tobin (GH¢ 10,000).

Speaking at the dedication ceremony on the topic, “Service Elevates A Man” with reference to Matthew 20:24- 28, Pastor Prince Agyemang, the District Minister for Mensah Dawa, called on believers to be humble and serve the church since service to man is service to God.

Narrating how Jesus Christ washed the feet of the disciplines, he said anyone who wants to be great in this life must serve, just like Jesus Christ.

Pastor Agyemang admonished the members to serve the church with their money, physical strength, knowledge, personal commitments among others. He charged them to be holy in their walk with Jesus, adding that “God is ready to bless all who will serve in humility and holiness.”

In a remark, the Area Head, Apostle Jacob Narh Affum, stressed the need for all to serve. He narrated his personal life experience when he was a presiding elder. According to him, he used to visit the District Mission House to serve the District Minister, and through that many doors were opened for him.

He further called on the members to ensure proper maintenance of the building. He prayed that the presence of God will fill the building.
