Youth Ministry Launches Business Chamber

The National Youth Directorate of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle David Nyansah Hayfron, has launched a new initiative to groom and equip the youth to become competent business and corporate leaders of the contemporary generation dubbed the “Business Chamber”.

According to the Youth Director, the Business Chamber aims to raise a well-motivated army of entrepreneurs, business and corporate giants who will have the spiritual and professional capacity to master their chosen fields and succeed in life and the business to God’s glory.

“It would consciously and strategically prepare and nurture young entrepreneurs and business executive by offering tutelage of core principles of success as well as tapping the expertise of other spirit-filled accomplished persons and organization,” he added.

The novelty was officially launched by Apostle Eric Nyamekye, an Executive Council Member and Koforidua Area Head of the Church, at a brief ceremony on Thursday, August 10, 2017, as part of the ongoing "Gnesios Tupos" (True Examples) Conference 2017 at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa-Fetteh.

The event was witnessed by Hon. Elizabeth Sackey (Deputy Greater-Accra Regional Minister), Elder Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong (Executive Chairman, Jospong Group of Companies).

The event also saw the commissioning of a nine-member committee tasked to see to the effective running of the Business Chamber. They are Pastor Abraham Nimako Boateng, Pastor Isaac Asare, Pastor David Francis Akayue, Elder Paul Kofi Mante, Deacon Dickson Tawiah Dziwornu, Deaconess Cynthia Agyepong, Deaconess Alberta Udzu and Deaconess Eunice Adwoa Sarpong.

The Youth Ministry Business Chamber is opened to persons between the ages 18 to 35 years, who have started a business venture of their own, and have plans to become entrepreneurs, business persons or corporate executives.

They must also have the passion and drive to inculcate their Christian virtues into their business practices, have the desire to learn new paradigms and knowledge, as well as put the knowledge and skills acquired to work so as to transform society.
