The Mission House of Dormaa Ahenbrono District in Berekum Area of The Church of Pentecost has been dedicated.
The manse which cost Gh₵174,218 was dedicated by the Area Head, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah, on May 12, 2017.
The ceremony was well attended by ministers and wives in the Area. Also in attendance was Pastor Godfred K. Okwan, a former minister of the district.
Speaking at the service, Pastor Noble Ayim of Sampa District, admonished Christians to be examples of Christ’s purity.
Reading from 2 Timothy 2:19-26, Pastor Ayim told believers to be vessels that will be used by God for noble or special purposes. One therefore needs to purify him/herself in order to be fit for the Master’s use, he stressed.
Pastor Noble Ayim further asked Christians to purify their minds daily and not only wait for the Lord’s Supper week, saying, “God cannot use temporal Christians for any special purpose.”
He prayed that the lifestyle of all Christians will bring glory to God at all times.
Dormaa Ahenbrono District was inaugurated in the year 2000 by Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah, then Area Head for Sunyani, with Pastor Robert Kwaku Gyinase as pioneer minister.
Four plots of land was acquired for the mission house project. Subsequent ministers who continued the project were: Pastors Emmanuel Akay, Godfred K. Okwan and Anthony K. Obeng.
The current District Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Mensah Kwofie, who finally saw the completion of the building, commended the District Executive Committee Members and the entire membership for their commitment and support towards the project.
