Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo


Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo is the International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost who is responsible for the Church’s external Missions work.

Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo was born in Accra on December 26, 1958. He hails from Agona Nyakrom in the Central Region of Ghana. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Pentecost University College, Diploma in Business Administration from the French Chamber of Commerce, Diplome de Langue from the Alliance Francaise, Accra, and Diploma in Bilingual Secretaryship with Distinction from Agence D’or Language & Secretarial Institute, Accra. He has also attended many courses and conferences in and outside Ghana.

Apostle Gyesi-Addo was called into the full-time ministry of The Church of Pentecost in 1991. He worked as the first Administrative Secretary at the International Missions Office at the Headquarters, Accra from 1991 to 1993. He has also been a Missionary and National Head of the Church in Senegal, Switzerland and Gabon. Apostle Gyesi-Addo was appointed the International Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost in 2011.

Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo is married to Elizabeth, with four children, two sons and two daughters.

 

FUNCTIONS:

  • The International Missions Director shall be the Secretary of the Missions Board, and shall record the minutes of the Board
  • He shall prepare the agenda for meetings of the Board in consultation with the Board Chairman.
  • He shall be responsible to the Chairman through the Missions Board for the administration of the International Missions
  • He shall be responsible for the provision of missionary information in official publications of the Board
  • He shall be responsible to the Chairman for all correspondence pertaining to the International Missions and any missionary work
  • By virtue of his office, he shall be an ex-officio member of each National Council
  • He and the Chairman shall represent the Board and The Church in all matters relating to Government or authorities where missionary activities are involved
  • He shall organize seminars and retreats for training Ministers and Officers in the International Missions
  • He shall advise Missionaries and where appropriate organize with them crusades, rallies and conventions for effective evangelism
  • He shall implement decisions of the Board and perform such other function and duties as may be directed by the Chairman and the Executive Council.
