The Nsawam branch of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost has held its maiden Christmas Convention to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The four-day convention which was held at the Prince Boateng Educational Complex from 21st to 24th December, 2017 was under the theme: “For With God, Nothing Shall Be Impossible.”
The Resident Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Osei-Arkosah, speaking on the main theme with Bible references from Luke 1:37 and Luke 1:8-15, stated that Jesus’ birth was a miracle because it was impossible for Mary to be pregnant since she was a virgin. He further stated that Mary however believed in the word of God for the possibilities.
He explained that the Holy Spirit is the key that opens doors that seem impossible, and that there is the urgent need for Christians to keep trusting in the Holy Spirit when the going gets tough, saying, “God is more than able to do exceedingly and abundantly above our understanding.”
Pastor Arkosah expounded that life has become difficult for some believers because they walk in the flesh. He mentioned that barriers to God’s possibilities are fear, unbelief and relying on past experiences. He entreated Christians to do away with these limitations in their lives, because God has not given them the Spirit of timidity but of power, love and of sound mind.
He concluded by urging Christians to forget about their past lives and embrace the possibilities of God for their future.
