Kasoa Crusade Kick - Starts With 56 Souls

Date: December 17, 2017

A total of 56 souls surrendered to the lordship of Christ on the first day of the “Kasoa for Christ Crusade” being organized by the Kasoa Area Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost.

The 5-day crusade, which began on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 is being held at the Odupong Kpehe School Park under the theme “Jesus is Lord” Philippians 2:10-11; Acts 2:36.

Livingstone Awugble, an elder of The Church of Pentecost, gave a testimony about how he dabbled in occultism before his encounter with Jesus Christ. He narrated how he tried on many occasions to attack Christians with his occultic powers but failed.

Some unbelievers who were touched by Elder Awugble’s testimony started walking to the crusade grounds to invite Jesus Christ into their lives.

Speaking on the main theme of the event, the Kasoa Area, Apostle Samuel Antwi, challenged the world to submit to the Lordship of Jesus because He is the one who has been exalted and given authority over all.

He explained that many people have been subjected to various degrees of troubles and difficulties by the devil who became lord over them. Jesus, however, through His death on the cross, has provided salvation to all who will submit to His lordship.

According to Apostle Antwi, Jesus descended into the lower parts of the earth and released all those who had been held captive by the devil. He (Jesus) then ascended into the heavens and dethroned all powers and principalities.

"If you have been enslaved by the devil, and living in fear, accepting Christ as the Lord of your life will totally liberate you," he stressed.

Concluding his Gospel message, the Kasoa Area Head reiterated that God has given His son, Jesus Christ, the authority over all things, therefore anyone who allows Him into their life will become a carrier of His power and demonstrate same to the world.

To the glory of God, 36 out of the 65 souls won on the first day of the crusade were baptized in water the same night.

The event recorded an attendance of more than 2,300 people including the area pastorate, their wives and the members from all the districts in the Area.

Other speakers for the crusade include: Apostles Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi (General Secretary, COP), Amos Jimmy Markin (Evangelism Director, COP) Nana Yaw Adjei (Centre Manager, PCC), Samuel Ofori (Director of Studies, PTS), as well as Pastors Shadrach Asa-Otu (Deputy Evangelism Director, COP) and Emmanuel Ansah (Evangelism Leader, Kasoa Area).
