The Literary Group of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA-Ghana), put up a spectacular performance at the commencement of the maiden Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference (GMWC’17) when they staged a choreography that depicted the global diversity of The Church of Pentecost.
Members of the literary group were adorned in attires and regalia that depicted the various cultures of the 90 countries in which the church is located. Members of the team also waved the national flags of the countries while dancing to music from Africa, Asia, Europe, America and the Oceanic regions during their performance.
The colourful performance also included a poetry that captured the history of the church from its founder, Pastor James Mckeown, his struggles and challenges to the current Chairman of the church, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah. The poetry also touched on the good work God is doing through the church today. The poetry was done in English, French, Swahili, Spanish and Chinese languages much to the admiration of all those present.
The leader of the group, Elder Emmanuel Ayisi Manu who doubles as the PENSA-Ghana Coordinator, in an interview stated that just as some are called to preach the word of God to others, their ministry also use literary works such as drama, poetry and choreography to minister to others.
“As this is a gathering of ministers and wives from across the globe, we were motivated to display our performance by resorting to the use of five widely spoken languages as well as well patronised cultures of the participants present,” he stressed.
The Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference is the first of its kind to be organised by The Church of Pentecost. It is being attended by about 5,000 ministers and their wives of the church from the world overat the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The conference which started on Monday, January 9, 2017 will be climaxed on Sunday, January 15.
