The much-awaited Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference (GMWC’17) of The Church of Pentecost kick-started in a grand style on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The commencement of the Conference saw a colourful display of national flags from all 90 countries within which The Church of Pentecost is located.
A spectacular choreography performed by the drama troupe of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA-Ghana Literary Group) received applause and admiration from the over 4,500 ministers and wives from across the globe who thronged the 5000-seater Joseph Egyir Paintsil Auditorium for the opening of the maiden event.
The GMWC’17 which is on the theme, “I Am An Example Of Christ In My Generation’ (1 Corinthians 4:16-17) will be used as platform to consolidate, affirm and concretise what has been achieved so far by the founding fathers of the Church and succeeding leaders.
The Conference will also afford the participants an opportunity to meet colleagues from across the globe. It was evident in the excitement and socialization that was registered at the PCC as the ministers and their wives arrived at the venue earlier in the day.
The drama troupe displayed traditional dances of countries like India, America, Australia and Kenya and took participants through a brief narration of the history of the Church in the Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Swahili Languages.
The conference which will end on Sunday, January 15, is expected to receive lectures and sermons from seasoned men and women of God in the course of the week.
