CHAIRMAN ONYINAH INTERACTS WITH HEADQUARTERS STAFF

A

postle Dr. Opoku Onyinah, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, has asked the staff of the Church Headquarters to pray for and team up with him as he assumes duty as the fifth Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of the Church for good works and maximum output to the glory of God.

During an interaction with the staff at morning devotion on Friday, September 5, 2008, the Chairman charged the staff to build bridges of trust among themselves in order to do away with suspicion which could lead to distrust with its attendant negative ramifications.

Chairman Onyinah delivering his address. Flanking him on his immediate right and left, are the General Secretary, Apostle Alfred Koduah, and the International Missions Director, Apostle S. K. Baidoo,  respectively

Speaking on the topic, “With me in charge,” based on Genesis 39: 1-10, Apostle Dr Onyinah said that because Joseph was trustworthy, his master put him in charge of his household and was no longer concerned about anything except his food, adding that trust should permeate every fabric of the Headquarters for work to go on progressively.

Chairman Onyinah urged the staff to adopt and maintain positive attitudes in spite of their challenges, because the Lord who they work for is faithful and would bless them in due season. He said because Joseph adopted a positive attitude and served his master faithfully, despite his predicament, he was eventually promoted.

He said good leaders do not overlook employees’ capabilities and that in due season such excellent services are rewarded through promotion and other forms of recognition adding that every staff should work very hard without repeated reminders for the same assignment.

Chairman Onyinah told the staff that he would accord everybody the respect due him and ensure that no one was cheated in any way so that there would be no cause for anyone to feel embittered.

He, however, expected the Headquarters to be a place where the excellent spirit of the staff, would induce the presence of the Lord to bless both the staff and all visitors just as God blessed the household of Potiphar because of Joseph.

Chairman Onyinah had earlier been introduced to the Management of the Headquarters on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Chairman’s Conference Hall where he spelled out his expectations of Management.
