MOVEMENT DIRECTORS INDUCTED INTO OFFICE

Inductees praising God for the great things the Lord has done

A

ll five Movement Directors of the Church were inducted into office at the Burma Camp Worship Centre on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at a service that was highly patronised by members of the Movements.

The inductees included Apostle N.A.O. Amegatcher, PEMEF Director, Prophet B.A. Adobah, Children’s Director, and Pastor M. C. Asiedu, Witness Director. The rest were Pastor E. K. Acquah, Youth Director, and Mrs Beatrice Evelyn Kwaffo, Women’s Director.

The induction oath was administered by Apostle James Smith Gyimah, an Executive Council Member and Takoradi Area Head, on behalf of the Chairman, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah.  Thereafter, the inductees and their executive committee members were prayed for.

Preaching the sermon at the induction service, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah charged the inductees and their executives to consider the event as marking a new beginning of their service to the Church and society.

Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah said the inductees were being given a rare opportunity to serve God in a special way and to meet the needs of their members, adding that times have changed and that they should be more proactive in facing the challenges of the times.

Basing his message on Song of Songs 2:10-13, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah gave the congregation the seven keys to a new beginning and urged the congregation to learn to abide by decisions taken by the General Council.

He said any programme put in place by the Church should be motivated by the cause to minister to the spiritual needs of the members but not to raise money from them.

The Chairman urged the clergy and officers of the Church to live above reproach, adding that “it was worrying to hear of incidence of fornication, adultery and stealing of Church funds among the clergy and officers.”

“Congratulations!” say Apostle D. K. Noble-Atsu (left), Tema Area Head and other apostles, to the inductees and their wives who beam with smiles.
