Director and their immediate staff and other departmental heads.
Internal furnishing and the
construction of a cesspool are the remaining additions to bring the structure to
completion and in readiness for occupancy by October 2008.
The construction of the new
office block is part of the general facelift, which includes the renovation of
the existing two-storey office blocks, to give the Headquarters a new look,
deserving of its international status.

CHIEF JUSTICE CALLS FOR
ORDER IN POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS
er ladyship Mrs. Georgina Wood, Chief Justice of
Ghana and the fourth most important person in the country, has underscored the
peaceful manner in which the change of chairmanship of The Church of Pentecost
has been executed, noting that this was worthy of emulation by politicians.
Her ladyship
the Chief Justice has therefore asked the electorate and the political parties
to uphold “our enviable record as a peaceful country in Sub-Saharan Africa” by
conducting themselves responsibly before, during and after the forthcoming
general elections.
Mrs. Georgina Wood was full of praise for the
outgoing Chairman, Apostle Dr. M. K. Ntumy, for
the able manner he had steered the affairs of
the Church for the past ten years and hoped that
the new Chairman would continue from where his
predecessor left off to improve on the
attainments of the Church for societal good. |

Mrs. Georgina Wood, a devout Christian, joins the
congregation to pray for a peaceful national
election. |
|
She made these remarks as the Guest of Honor at the
induction service of the new Chairman of the Church,
Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah, the General Secretary,
Apostle Alfred Koduah and five other members of the
Executive Council held at the Pentecost Worship
Center, Burma Camp, Accra, on Sunday, August 31,
2008.

She said that The Church of Pentecost was highly
recognized and respected because of its
discipline, social projects, philanthropic
gestures and, especially, its spiritual role in
transforming people’s lives to ensure national
development and cohesion.
Mrs. Wood said she rarely had the opportunity to
address churches and, therefore, was full of
gratitude to the Executive Council of the Church
for inviting her to be the guest of honor for
the induction service.
She was accompanied by some judicial staff,
relatives and friends who belong to the
Assemblies of God Church, her church.
