Roman Ridge Children Hold Easter Convention

The Roman Ridge District Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Elder Samuel Aidoo, has held an Easter convention for children in the district.

The event, which took place on 25th March, 2018, at the forecourt of Roman Ridge Central Assembly, was under the theme: “Jesus Christ, Our Sacrificed Passover Lamb” (1 Corinthians 5: 7b).

In a sermon, Pastor Stephen O. Acheampong, the District Minister, explained how significant the blood of Jesus Christ has been to Christians by replacing the Old Testament sacrifice, where they used the blood of lambs to cleanse the sins of the people.

Pastor Acheampong admonished children to appreciate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The wife of the La Area Head, Mrs Juliana Appiah Aidoo, also spoke on the topic: “God Loves Me.” She advised children to reciprocate God’s love by living in a manner that pleases the Lord, which will cause them to grow in their faith.

She also encouraged children to take their academics seriously in order to become great future leaders of the Church and the nation.

Sharing her personal experiences with the children, Mrs Appiah Aidoo, charged them to read their Bible, pray every day and keep away from bad friends who will not add up to their Christian life.

An eleven-year-old Ohemaa Ofosu stunned the congregation with her poetry recital which sought to draw the attention of Christians to stop disobeying God’s laws.

The children were given some gifts such as mathematical sets and pens to support their academic work.
