Koforidua Effiduase Area Holds Maiden “Divine Encounter” Monthly Prayers

The Koforidua Effiduase Area of The Church of Pentecost has held its maiden Area Monthly Prayers dubbed, “Devine Encounter” under the leadership of Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful.

The service, which took place at the Ebenezer Assembly on Friday, March 2, 2018, was interspersed with songs by renowned musicians, Elder Dr Kwasi Mireku and Sister Dora. It drew a total of 1,353 worshippers, including pastors, officers and members from across the 14 districts of the Area.

In a sermon on the topic: “The Zeal of the Lord Will Accomplish This” based on 1 Kings 19:29-31, Apostle Yeboah Nsaful said the will of God is for His presence to be with His people.

He however said there are hindrances that prevent God’s people from experiencing His divine presence as was the case in the Garden of Eden. “But in the mist of all that, the Bible says the zeal of the Lord will accomplish God’s purpose for His children,” he assured.

The Area Head explained that the word ‘zeal’ is an innate desire to have something done in order to right a wrong. He advised Christians to live in the freedom that Christ offers. According to him, the sins of their forebears have no power over them because of Jesus. “You need no breaking from any ancestral curses; each man must carry his own load,” he disclosed.

He said King Hezekiah did all he could to please the Assyrian king, but to no avail. “No matter how hard you try, you can never please the enemy; it is only the zeal of the Lord that can accomplish that task,” he stated.

Apostle Yeboah Nsaful said the zeal of man fails, politicians fail but the zeal of the Lord accomplishes much, because He never fails. He admonished Christians to put their trust in God and lay before Him every problem just as Hezekiah spread out the letters before God.

He advised Christians not to pray that God should kill their enemies, but rather leave everything to God’s own sovereignty. “We don’t pray that God should kill our enemies, but when we pray, God does whatever pleases Him,” he said.

Concluding his message, Apostle Yeboah Nsaful stated: “It’s not about anointing oil, breaking and binding but with prayer, the zeal of the Lord will do it.”
