The International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, worshiped with members of Bubuashie District in the Kaneshie Area.
Speaking at the district’s joint service held at the Bubuashie Central Auditorium on the topic, “I am an Example of Christ in my Generation” based on 1 Corinthians 4:16-17; Luke 6: 40; Romans 8:29, the IMD said a master trains his servants to be like him and every servant who wants to be trained must be ready to abide by the instructions from his master.
Apostle Gyesi-Addo said the aim of a Christian is to be like Christ and be His example to the rest of the world. He said in John 3:16, God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to be an example of Him in creation so that man can also be like Him.
He asked believers to set their priorities on seeking the Kingdom of God, and God shall supply all their needs for them. He said as they make efforts to seek the Kingdom of God, the fruit of Christ will be nurtured in them in order to be like Him.
According to the IMD, to be like the Master Jesus Christ, believers need to be humble, prayerful, forgiving, compassionate, selfless and passionate about spreading the gospel.
Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo said Jesus Christ had the zeal for the Lord’s work and had to whip some people for turning the House of God into a market place. “As a Christian don’t be a bad servant who doesn’t train his/her child in the right way,” he added.
