The Ando-Tosala Assembly Community Based Church Building (CBCB) in Chereponi District in the Yendi Area of The Church of Pentecost has been dedicated at the cost GH¢44,075.
The event, which took place on Sunday, 15th October, 2017, was performed by the Area Head, Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, with assistance from the District Minister, Overseer Noah S. Dari.
The assembly was opened in 2009 by Pastor Francis Agyemang Badu, who was the then District Minister. In December 2016, during the time of Pastor Eric Abeiku Quainoo, the assembly received a CBCB grant of GH¢35,000 from the Headquarters to start the project.
Speaking at the dedication ceremony on the title, “The Sacred Things of God” with references from 2 Samuel 6:1-23 and 2 Timothy 2:20-21, Probationary Overseer Gabriel Nsowah of Wapuli District, noted that God has called all Christians from different backgrounds into His sheepfold to work through them to fulfil His will on earth.
However, he said, for the Christian to become a useful tool or vessel for noble purposes, they would have to be first sanctified, purged or consecrated from all that is ignoble.
He explained further that at the point of accepting Christ, the Christian is instantly purged by the blood of Jesus Christ and becomes a sacred thing of God. “It nonetheless behoves the new believer to constantly set him or herself apart from all manner of ungodliness and remain pure,” he stressed.
He asked believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices to God since the body serves as a place of residence for the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16), as well as their tithes and offerings to God.
On his part, the Area Head exhorted the congregation to consider the purity of their individual lives with all seriousness and treat other sacred things like their tithes and offerings with much reverence so as to attract the blessings of the Lord.
Present at the ceremony were the chief of the community and his elders, and some leaders of other churches. Also in attendance were the Area Secretary, Pastor Isaac Appiah, and the Area Deacon, Elder Prosper Mensah, among others.
