The Nkawkaw Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet Robert Kobena Dentu, on Thursday, October 26, 2017, dedicated the Manfe Assembly Community Based Church Building (CBCB).
The ceremony brought together many dignitaries from far and near. Among them were the Sanaahene, Nana Kwaku Osei and the Adehyehene, Nana Paul Asante of Manfe.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pastor Joseph Mensah Krampah spoke on the theme: “Looking unto Jesus Christ, Our Apostle and High Priest” (Hebrew 3:1). He explained that believers must have faith in Christ in the midst of challenges in the world.
He further noted that Jesus Christ alone is the only way to heaven because He died, rose and ascended to heaven and He is interceding for believers (Romans 8:34).
He admonished the congregation to have both head knowledge which includes things they can learn naturally – facts and figures, words, phrases, how things relate to one another, and heart or revelation knowledge which also includes things believers know by the revelation of the Holy Spirit about Christ (1 Corinthians 2:14).
“With head and heart knowledge about Jesus Christ, Christians will shun all forms of idol worship and focus on Christ,” he stressed.
On his part, Prophet Robert Dentu said that there are absolute blessings in Jesus Christ who is ever the same. He stated that Christians have been called heavenward and must focus on Him by serving Him faithfully.
The District Minister, Pastor Solomon Eduah, said the Manfe Assembly was established by the then Pastor Isaac Annane Babae in 1989. They worshipped in the house of Deaconess Animwaa with Elder George Danso as the first Presiding Elder.
The church later bought a parcel of land at the cost of GH¢200 during the time of Pastor Charles Owusu Anning and Elder Samuel Owusu (then Presiding Elder) to put up a church building. The sod-cutting to commence the construction of the building was performed in October 2015 when they received a CBCB grant of GH¢30,000 from the headquarters.
During the time of the current District Minister, the assembly received additional support from Nkawkaw Area and other members to complete the project which is worth GH¢45,958.
Prophet Robert Kobena Dentu applauded the District Minister, Pastor Eduah and his wife, Charity for their hard work to complete the project which has become an icon for evangelism in Manfe and its surrounding communities. He also commended all officers and members for their support towards the completion of the project.
