A septuagenarian couple has tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony at the Akorabo District in the Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost.
The marriage ceremony between Mr Emmanuel Narh, 78, and Madam Agnes Doe, 75, was officiated by Pastor Evans Annaba Mensah (Suhum Area Secretary) at the Akorabo Central Assembly on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were: Overseer Isaac Ampomah from Sumbrungu District in Bolga Area and Overseer Samuel Kwamena Ako, also from Sabonjida District in Tamale Area.
Delivering the sermon at the service on the topic: “Knowing Yourself and Your Spouse, Overseer Samuel Kwamena Ako admonished couples to make conscious effort to know each other to enhance their marital relationships.
With scripture reference from Mathew 16:13-16, Overseer Ako explained that Jesus Christ, having spent some time with His disciples, wanted to know how much they had known him personally. He made a clarion call on Christians to always seek God’s counsel when choosing a life partner.
The Akorabo District Minister, Overseer Richmond Boakye, encouraged the congregation to regularize their marriages by paying the necessary dowries.
