The Sawla Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor William Ohemeng-Kwakye, has said that God has given Christians equal opportunity and power to overcome sin.
Addressing the Area staff during a morning devotion on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Pastor Ohemeng-Kwakye noted that believers have no excuse for their sins since they know the history of the fall of the first man (Adam) and generations after and, therefore, should not blame anyone for falling into sin.
“Under no circumstance should anyone be blamed for our fall after Christ lived a commendable life for us to imitate,” he pointed out.
Reading from 1 Corinthians 10:1-13, he indicated that in the cloud and in the sea, all of the Israelites were baptized as followers of Moses.
He added that the people of Israel were all guided by the cloud that moved ahead of them and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground, saying, “They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual water from the spiritual rock which was Christ.”
According to him, despite the guidance and directions the Israelites received from God, some still engaged in drinking, worshipping idols, indulging in pagan revelry, practising sexual immoralities, grumbling and the likes, causing the death of 23,000 people.
The Area Head advised the staff not to find dubious means to inflate figures to embezzle funds allocated to them.
