Date: September 12, 2017
A Gospel Crusade organised by the Korle-Bu Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA), in collaboration with the Merry Villas District of The Church of Pentecost at Bukom, the hub of Accra, saw 71 persons surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.
The crusade which took place at the Bukom Square from 7th to 9th September, 2017, was on the theme, “Come Unto Jesus and You Shall Find Rest” - (Matthew 11: 28).
Day one of the crusade had the Deputy Director of the Evangelism Ministry, Pastor Ohene-Asa Otu, preaching. Elder Daniel Osei Manu, the President of PENSA Korle-Bu preached on the second day. The last day of the crusade had Elder Wisdom Kosi Delali of the Film Evangelism Van of The Church of Pentecost using a movie entitled: “The Coming of the Antichrist” as a means of calling people to put their faith in Christ.
Preaching the gospel, Pastor Ohene-Asa Otu revealed that the sufferings people go through emanate from an act of disobedience of humankind. He said that sin is a burden and it has troubled the world for long.
The Deputy Evangelism Director, however, said in Jesus Christ every burden is taken care of. He, therefore, called on all to try Jesus and see. He said that those who refuse to believe in Jesus Christ as the accredited saviour of the world would continue to carry the burden of sin and they will continue to encounter crises, saying, “Life without Christ is full of crises.”
Elder Daniel Osei Manu, on his part, challenged all people to realise their sinful status, repent and have faith in Jesus Christ before it becomes too late.
The Merry Villas District Minister, Pastor Michael Agyen Brefo, and the District Evangelism Leader, Elder Alpha Adotey Pappoe, were among the people who attended the crusade.
The first day recorded 21 souls, second day 22 souls and the last day recording 28 souls. New convert classes, water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism sessions were organised for the new converts on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the Ga-Adangme assembly of the Merry Villas district.
