The Children’s Ministry of Nshorna District in the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted items worth GH¢8,600 to their counterparts at Miaso District of the Nkawkaw Area.
The items included 10 packs of erasers, 5 boxes of pen, 5 packs of pencils, 5 packs of exercise books, 1 box of crayon, 20 children registers, 3 boxes of milk powder, 2 bales of clothes, 4 bags of shoes and bags, and several other items.
Making the presentation to the Director of the Children’s Ministry, Apostle Fred Tiakor, at the Head Office on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, the Nshorna District Children’s Ministry Secretary, Allswell Anum, said the gesture was meant to support the studies of the children in the deprived district.
Receiving the items, Apostle Fred Tiakor commended the Nshorna District Children’s Ministry for the kind gesture. According to him, the items will go a long way to enhance the studies of the children in the community.
Apostle Tiakor noted that anytime people make children happy God becomes happy, because children are so dear to the heart of God.
He was of the view that the gesture would touch the hearts of other groups and individuals to support children in deprived communities.
Present at the short ceremony were Pastor Attah Kwasi Agyepong (Nkawkaw Area Children’s Ministry Leader), Overseer Reynolds Lartey and his wife (Miaso District Minister), Mrs. Gladys Agyemang (Administrative Assistant to the Children’s Director), Mary Dankyi and Patience Korletey (Nshorna District Children’s Ministry Executive Committee Members.
