Abirem District Mission House Dedicated

Date: June 19, 2017

The New Tafo Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, has dedicated the Abirem District Mission House. The ceremony took place on June 11, 2017 at Abirem.

The Abirem District was calved out of Kenyase and Bonwire districts and was inaugurated on 17th August, 2012 under the then Area Head, Apostle Kwesi Ackah-Baidoo (Retd).  An uncompleted 5-bedroom house was bought for the new district at the cost of GH₵70,000 of which the Area completed part of it (3-bedroom apartment) at the cost of GH₵23,191.27 to house the District Minister.

The current Area leadership under Apostle Asante continued and completed work on the entire building at the total cost of GH₵146,749.

Preaching the sermon on the theme, “Maintaining the Spiritual Gold in the Church” based on Proverbs 24:3-4, Pastor Owusu Asare of Meduma District noted that David wanted an opportunity to build a temple for the Lord but it was not granted.

He said David therefore provided the needed building materials for his son Solomon to build the temple.

Pastor Asare said Solomon used precious materials to build the temple which pleased the Lord (1 Kings 6:21-22; 7:48-51). He admonished Christians not to use inferior materials to build a house for God. He urged the congregation to maintain the golden doctrine, administration, worship and prayer of the Church.

In a remark, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante said God admires good things, urging the members to keep their place of worship neat and apply same in their daily lives.

According to him, the core values of the Church can be likened to spiritual gold. He charged church leaders to teach the members the core values of the Church.

Pastor Augustus Ayim Osae of Abirem District was grateful to the Area for supporting the District to get her own mission house.

Present at the ceremony were ministers and their wives and some retired ministers in the Area. The programme was also graced by some chiefs of Kwabre-Kenyase namely, Nana Akwasi Kwarteng (Kenyase Gyasehene), Nana Boakye Atansah (Kenyase Ansurogyahene), Nana Osei Akwasi (Kenyase-Akwatiri) and Okyeame Peter Adu (Spokesperson for Kenyase Chief).
