Dispossess To Possess - Apostle Miah Tells Christians

Date: January 8, 2017

The Berekum Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah, in his New Year message dubbed, “Dispossess to Possess” delivered at Jinijini Central Assembly, has indicated the need for Christians to break camp and advance.

“Many are those who have been stagnant for long and must have to move from their comfort zone to attain greater things. For God has higher thoughts and greater things just ahead of us.

“God spoke to Moses and the Israelites about the land He had prepared for them and assured them of His presence and support as they journeyed towards that promise land.

“The Israelites were therefore supposed to be focused on God’s plan for them in order to access the land flowing with milk and honey. Unfortunately, when they arrived at Mount Horeb they were satisfied with the situation there and forgot the better things ahead. God had to prompt them in Deuteronomy 1:6-7 that they had not yet reached their destination and so had to move,” he stated.

Apostle Miah further emphasized: “If you get content with the little at hand, it would be difficult to access much. You have to move out of your comfort zone with determination to reach out for better things. Every obstacle in our lives must be dispossessed so that we can possess what God has purposed for us.”

He further revealed that the year 2017 would be full of blessings but only those who are obedient to the instructions of God can access them, since God wants His children to advance in every aspect in life – be it spiritually, financially and academically.

“Life is about advancement and greater heights, and to achieve these, we need to be obedient to God, spend time with God by studying the word and praying, working hard and being faithful in all things,” he pointed out, “others think some things cannot be achieved, but a child of God must see beyond the ordinary in order to achieve the extraordinary.”

He finally cautioned believers to pray hard to destroy all diabolical plans of the enemy, saying, “A Christian needs not fight with physical weapons for it is only prayer that can make your room, office or workplace too hot for Satan to enter and destroy things.”
