The Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Mike Etrue, has provided logistics valued at GH¢4,000 to the Area News Team to boost church news reporting in the Area.
The items included one HP Laptop and Nikon digital Camera. The Area is also helping the team with internet facilities to facilitate their operations.
Receiving the items on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, the Area Reporter, Elder Samuel Danso, thanked the Area leadership for the massive support. He was hopeful that the gesture will improve news reporting inthe Area for publication on the church’s various news channels.
Elder Danso, who is the Suhum Area Deacon, revealed that the Area has been very supportive in the work of reporters in the Area. “It was through the efforts of the Area that I was able to win the 2015 Best News Reporter Award of The Church of Pentecost,” he stated.
In an interview, the Area Head, Apostle Mike Etrue, explained that news reporting has a special place in history, because it is a modern tool used in propagating the Gospel across the globe. He asserted that news reporting on sermons and other church activities through the internet has the potential of reaching a number of people, especially the youth.
Apostle Etrue reiterated that Christianity is the greatest story ever told since the Bible gives content on every issue related to human condition. He therefore stated the need for Christians to be innovative and committed at creating and sharing evangelistic contents through news reports.
