MEMORY VERSE: ‘And ye shall be unto Me a Kingdom of priests, and a holy nation’ Exodus 19:6a
Today marks Ghana’s 54th year after independence. It is a good time to thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed on our land
At the same time, we must appreciate the special place of Ghana in Africa, not only in terms of being the premier in the socio-political life of sub-Saharan Africa, but also as a special covenanted people who owe to Africa the responsibility of fanning the embers of revival on the continent.

Like historical Israel, God has protected Ghana from many woes, and has given us relative peace and stability. He also has an expectation of us. Just as God desired the nation of Israel to be a ‘KINGDOM OF PRIESTS’, so must Ghana, and for that matter Ghanaians, live lives that are worthy of this.

World statistics place Ghana as the 6th Christian nation in terms of the percentage of professed Christians. At the same time, Ghana is said to be the 10th most corrupt nation in the world.
As we celebrate our independence today, let us remember that there is a charge to keep, and a holy life to lead, which must not be limited to our church halls, but must be seen wherever we are.- DNH

Am I contributing my quota to nation building?

Help me O Lord to appreciate your love and protection for my nation Ghana, and help me to be a good citizen, to help lift up the name of Ghana.

Our independence is meaningless unless it is linked with the total liberation of our souls from the shackles of bribery, lust and wickedness.
