WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2 ''I DIE EVERY DAY''

For Reading: Romans 6:6-11

MEMORY VERSE:
I die every day—I mean that, brothers—just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (1 Cor. 15:31).

The three enemies of Christians are the world, the flesh and the devil. No one can please the Lord when he loves these things.  Apostle Paul had spoken to us that our old man is crucified with Christ, so that the body of sin might be destroyed and that henceforth we should not serve sin, but live unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We can live for Jesus Christ on daily basis when we die daily for the sake of the gospel. We are to die to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life which are the root of all sins. In fact, the devil cannot touch the born again Christian as seen in 1John 5:18. He can only touch us by inducing us to sin.

To pay the price of dying daily, one must draw closer to God through prayer including fasting, eating and meditating on the Word of God, obeying and yielding to every direction and warning from the Holy Spirit. D.A

MEDITATION
•    Am I always temped by the world, the flesh and its lustful desires?
•    Have I been entangled by the traps of the devil to sin?

PRAYER
God the Holy Spirit, cause me to seek you daily so as to overcome the world, flesh and the devil.
THOUGHT
There is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof are the ways of death.
