Open Yourselves Up To Receive From God Chairman Tells Ministers

Date: January 10, 2017

Ministers and wives of The Church of Pentecost attending the 2017 Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa Fetteh have been urged to open their hearts in order to receive in full, the benefits that will come with the numerous activities lined up in the conference.

The Chairman of the Church, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, made the remark in an address to officially open the GMWC’17 on Tuesday.

Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah noted with concern that in many of such meetings, some participants attend with preconditioned minds that cause them to be “passive, fearful, defensive, or even unyielding.”

“It is my appeal that you open up your spirits to receive from God through the Holy Spirit, through the leaders God has given you and through your own friends. Through this attitude you will be transformed and be able to impact others—your neighbours and even your countries.

“This is a Pentecostal Conference, we expect the Holy Spirit to move.  We also expect that we shall do things in orderly manner as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:31,” he urged.

While imploring the ministers and their wives to fully participate in the conference with all seriousness, Apostle Prof Onyinah also urged them to socialize and make new friends before they depart to their various stations.

“I will encourage each person to interact with at least one new person each day in order to build friendship and boost cordial relations among ourselves as ministers and wives of the church across the globe,” he stressed.

He also asked participants to make use of the break periods to share their success stories with one another.

The Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference which will end on Sunday, January 15, 2017, is under the theme: “I am an example of Christ in my Generation” (1 Corinthians 4:16-17).
