PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MERCIES

Mrs. Comfort Amoakoh Attah, Salem Assembly, Mamprobi District, Accra.

WE MARRIED IN THE traditional way some 35 years ago and the Lord blessed us with three females and one male. Later, we got converted and turned to the Lord.

As the girls began to grow, my husband and I realized that bringing up three teenage girls was not an exercise to toy with so we decided to turn them over to the Lord himself. We pledged that if God blessed all our children to accept Him and opened the way for them to get properly married; we would glorify the Lord by crowning our old marriage with a wedding ceremony.

By the grace of God, all the children have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour and the three females have been properly married. On September 20, 2008, we also fulfilled our promise to the Lord by bringing our old marriage before Him. It was a glorious moment. I thank the Lord for his mercies.

OKOMFO MANSAH FINDS PEACE IN CHRIST

…after 30 years in bondage

JANET ACKOM, FORMERLY known as Okomfo Mansah, was born at Nsuta in the Western Region of Ghana into a Muslim home.  She became possessed in 1978 at the age of 18 when she was in elementary school.  Her parents did all they could to have her delivered from the power of the gods to no avail.

Janet was taken to a shrine in New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region to train as a fetish priestess for two years. She then worked for 30 years after graduation, becoming very powerful and fearful in her vocation.

After resisting Christ for several years, Okomfo Mansah said she came under intense pressure on  October 4, 2008 when she saw several dogs chasing her in a vision. She then sent for Probationary Overseer Johnson Asiedu of the Tonkoase District under Obuasi Area to pray for and deliver her from satanic control.

Overseer Asiedu and some of his elders led Janet to confess her faith in Christ as her Lord and Saviour and baptised her. All her wares in her room, including her various gods, were then set ablaze.

Sister Janet is now completely delivered and cannot find enough words to express her joy at the freedom and peace she currently enjoys as a Christian.

Sister Janet Ackom is a sister to Elder Emmanuel Ackom, immediate-past Financial Manager at the Church's headquarters. Elder Ackom, a converted Muslim and a presiding officer of the Church in the Kasoa Area, thanked God for his sister’s deliverance, noting that the Lord is gradually spreading His favour in his Muslim family
