“It is time
high ministers of the gospel decided to speak the truth that not only hurts, but
also saves from sin and eternal death.”
Making this
assertion in an interview with the Pentecost Fire at Ho, the Volta
regional capital, on New Year’s, Apostle Moses K. Ayitey, Ho Area Head, stressed
that the Christian church today hosts two kingdoms – the Herodian kingdom which,
he said, thrives on wickedness, hypocrisy and deceit, and the kingdom of Christ,
which, he observed, thrives on the divine principles of truth, justice, fairness
and love.
Apostle Ayitey
cautioned that just as kings adjudicate on issues in their kingdoms, a time is
expected when Christ would separate the sheep from the goats in the church,
blessing the sheep with eternal life and condemning the goats in sheep’s
clothing to eternal damnation.
He noted that
the genuine minister of God has no other job than to care for God’s sheep with
all his heart as a divine service to God.
He continued
that the minister should identify and develop the qualities in his
congregations, seeing each member of the congregation as his own brother or
sister he is taking to heaven.
