The Chairman, Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah, has reminded managers of the Church’s
Headquarters that every Chief Executive Officer wanted an increase productivity
which could only be achieved if managers offered the requisite leadership that
would motivate the staff to deliver.
Opening a one-day Third Annual Managers Retreat at the Church’s transit quarters
at Tesano in Accra, on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah
called on the managers to work hard to translate the Church’s policies into
practical terms.
Using Joseph, as an example of a man in authority who did not abuse his office
by sleeping with his master’s wife, Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah admonished the
managers not to take advantage of their subordinates but to mentor them.
The Chairman said Joseph was a trusted manager and with him in charge, his
master had no cause to worry about anything. He therefore asked the managers to
consider their positions as strategic in the furtherance of the Church’s agenda.
The participants also undertook a workshop on various aspects of managerial
skills and fervently prayed for the progress of the Church and the staff of the
Headquarters.
