APOSTLE NOBLE-ATSU LAUDS EXEMPLARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Apostle Daniel Komi Noble-Atsu, Tema Area Head, has lauded the Area Youth Executive Committee for its pioneering role and exemplary leadership in nurturing the youth of the Area.

In a send-off service held at the central chapel of the Community Four District on Sunday, December 13, 2009 for the Area Youth Executive Committee who were reviewed in 2008 and three others of the current leadership, Apostle D. K. Noble-Atsu said the youth constituted the future leaders of all organisations, not least the church of Christ, and efforts aimed at preparing them for their respective future roles must be appreciated.

The executive members reviewed included Elder S. K. Amegah, who served as Area Secretary and Assistant Area Leader for two years and ten years, respectively, and Deaconess Elizabeth Amoako, who served as Treasurer for 12 years. Others were Elders Frank Ebow and P.L.O Ayer and Deacon Ebenezer Pobee who also served various number of years.

Apostle Noble-Atsu said the send-off was a replica of the reward the Lord would give His faithful servants at the close of age. He said just as awards were presented to the winners of sporting events at the bema seat in the ancient Greek society, so would Christians receive mercy and recognition at the judgement seat of God.

The Tema Area Head, therefore, urged the leadership of the youth ministry to continue to serve faithfully and remain steadfast in their faith because their “labour in Christ will not be in vain.”

The Area Apostle underscored the need to recognise and appreciate any worthy effort made by others in the Lord’s vineyard but, even if, such efforts were not appreciated, he urged the leaders not to be daunted but continue to serve the Lord who is a rewarder of those who serve Him diligently.
