Pastor Eric Nyamekye, the main speaker at the 17th annual
inter-tertiary institutions (ITI) Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA)
conference held at Block N auditorium of the University of Ghana, Legon, from
January 7 to 10, 2009 has urged the youth to be deeply-rooted in Christ without
which their existence would not be complete.
Pastor Nyamekye, Resident Pastor for PIWC Madina, said, like the branches of a
tree, the youth should remain in Christ who is the true vine so that God the
gardener can prune them to bear fruit that would manifest his glory.
He was speaking on the topic, ‘The glory within’ based on the theme,
‘Manifesting His glory’ (2 Cor. 3:18).
Pastor Nyamekye said members of ITI PENSA should uphold Christ’s agenda which
is to establish a church in which the manifold wisdom and power of God would be
revealed.
He stressed that just as a seed is loaded with fruits so does Christ have the
express qualities of God in Him to show in the lives of those who receive Him.
Other speakers for the four-day conference included Apostle Peter Ayerakwa, who
spoke on ‘The zeal of the apostolic fathers of The Church of Pentecost’; Pastor
E. K. Acquah on ‘That same Spirit’; Mrs Abigail Kyei on ‘Maintaining a healthy
glorious body’; and Elder Professor Odamtey on ‘Escatology’.
