KASOA AREA PICKS OFFICERS

Apostle E.C. Asante, Kasoa Area Head, assisted by Apostle D. Y. Asare, Agona Swedru Area Head, has ordained 436 new officers for the Church on Monday, December 15, 2009 at the Mount Olives Assembly at Kasoa.

Apostle E.C. Asante laying hands on a new officer

Giving the Word based on 1 Tim. 5: 17 on the topic, 'Give honour to deserving officers,' Apostle Asare said those who work diligently for the Lord are honoured by the Lord Himself. He therefore charged the officers to know that the positions they occupy had been occupied before them so they should seek knowledge from their predecessors, and to excel in their output. He advised the new officers not to use their positions to lord it over the members, but to serve them.

Apostle Asare said a servant who is humble, obedient and duty-conscious is rewarded accordingly by his master. Using, as an example, his illiterate father whose 19-year service as a presiding elder to the Church has impacted his life as an apostle, he noted that if the new officers served well, they would leave a legacy for generations to come.
