Apostle Dr.Stephen Kwesi Baidoo, International Missions Director (IMD), has
explained to the youth of Assin Nsuta District that external branches of the
Church use their tithes with supplement from the Headquarters to run their
activities.
Apostle S. K. Baidoo said the external branches are like babies who must be fed
till they were of age to fend for themselves, so for now, “whatever monies they
raise they use to run their activities with supplement from the Headquarters,”
he stressed.
The IMD was answering questions at his office posed by the youth of Assin Nsuta
District who were on excursion to the Headquarters of the Church at La, Accra,
on Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
Concerning strategies for founding external branches, he told the excursionists
that most of the Church’s external branches were founded by their compatriots
who had travelled abroad in search of greener pastures. The directorate would
then facilitate the growth of such branches by sending field workers from Ghana.
Another strategy, according to the IMD, was to delegate pastors form the
established branches to evangelise and open other branches in neighbouring
countries. |
