Receiving the items, the headmistress, Mrs. Sharon Abbey, expressed her sincere gratitude to the women for their compassion towards the welfare of the kids. Mrs. Abbey, however, requested that there should be regular visits and interactions, preaching and counselling by the Church to the children for sound moral upbringing.

There were 250 children in the home.
